An educational program for providers on "The Effects of Illicit Drug Use on the Developing Fetus and Lasting Effects through Childhood and Adolescence" will be held on Thursday, June 14 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. It will be located at UHS Wilson Hospital, Picciano 4, Room 5, and include dinner.
The speaker, Claire D. Coles, Ph.D. is a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. She is also the Director of the Maternal Substance Abuse and Child Development Laboratory, and has been doing research in this area since 1980. The program is free to UHS Medical Staff and sponsored by Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network.
