Infection Control Reminders

Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 11:45:25 AM

Infection Control policies require that all staff and visitors wear a gown and gloves when entering a contact isolation room. Lack of proper protective equipment exposes staff, visitors, and other patients to infections. Dispose of mask and perform hand hygiene before exiting the room. Staff must wear the N-95 mask if the patient has suspected or confirmed TB, chickenpox, measles or disseminated Herpes Zoster. Annual fit testing by Respiratory Therapy is required.
