Southern Tier HealthLink (STHL) deployed an upgraded release of the STHL Web Portal into production on August 23, 2012. This release includes a change in the order of 'Results' within clinical documents STHL sends to connected Electronic Health Records (EHR). Lab results will display from most recent to oldest rather than oldest to most recent. This means no more scrolling to the bottom of the document to view recent lab results. This change affects clinical documents sent to the NextGen Electronic Medical Record (EMR) at UHS Medical Group locations and clinical documents sent to connected MEDENT EMR practices as well as the UHS iCare app.
Additionally, on July 10, 2012, Lourdes Hospital began sending Immunizations and Vital Signs to the STHL Health Information Exchange (HIE).
The STHL Web Portal is a valuable resource of patient health information that with patient consent can be used as a tool for care coordination, decision support, and ultimately help lower health care costs.
