Influenza Mobile App

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has launched a new Influenza mobile app for physicians and other health care professionals. The app runs on Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices (an Android version will be available in the future) and assists clinicians in management of influenza patients. The application provides access to information on flu activity, testing, use of antiviral drugs and recommendations for infection control. The arrival of the app is timely given that flu season is off to the earliest start in a decade and physicians are likely to be seeing many influenza patients over the coming weeks.
